ive been searching and searching for an lcd rear projection tv in the uk that is hdtv ready with no luck. So im goin to import one from the USA.
what compatability issues must i think about ie mains power stepping (110w us to 220w uk)
also is there a pal ntsc conflic
the 3 televisions i have narrowed it down to are the sony KDF-50WE655 Sony KDF-60XBR950 Sony KF-50WE610

There is definitely a PAL/NTSC incompatibility, and I don't know how modern TVs are equipped to deal with that. About 20 years ago I brought a cheap TV from US to Germany and tried to use it with a transformer. It made a wierd picture for a few minutes, then stopped working altogether and permanently. I don't advise importing one from the US unless you're sure it's going to work.
