The hd reception fom hd channels is great. Standard tv reception is washed out, appears out of focus. not sharp at all. My old standard tv had a better picture. Have swapped cable boxes. Using composite video cable from cable box. Ckt City says there's not much I can do. any help would be appreciated.

Most of us suffer this problem and the best cure is to split your incoming cable before it gets to your cable STB and run a direct line to another input of your display. The problem is in how the STB outputs the analog and non-HD digital signals. Depending on your TV's internal tuner this should enable you to have a much better picture on all the channels below 100.
