Contract ratio is also 2000 to 1. Isn't this a step back from the 85 series? release date is still undetermined. I was told between November and early December. Check out the sets at www.samsung.com. Strati Unregistered guest | I'm assuming this HLPxx74 will replace the troubled HLPxx64; therefore creating again a lower and upper model. However, the pricing doesn't seem to suggest that. Scheduled on release next is the HLPxx94 which will have the characteristics of the current pedestal. |

Marten Unregistered guest | Strati, There is no HLPxx64, nor have I heard or seen anything indicating there will be a HLPxx94. Currently Samsung has a HLPxx85 series (pedestal), HLPxx63 series, and soon a HLPxx74 series. In 2005 all those 3 series will be extended to include CableCARD and built in HD tuner (everything else stays pretty much the same), and will then be called HLPxx87, HLPxx77 and HLPxx67.
