I just picked up a Sony LCD proj. 50" with a HDTV tuner. I currently have basic cable (no cable box) that goes directly into my tv. Does HDTV signals come through this way? I dont want any of those expensive cable or sat packages. I just want HDTV on Sundays and Sportcenter. What is the cheapest way of doing this?

Thanks

I have the Sony 42WE655 and basic cable. There are two RF inputs. One for cable and one for Over the Air. If you have locals with their digital transmitters on then you use an antenna and pick up the locals that way and put your cable hook up to the cable RF input. You won't need a big antenna if you've been able to get the analog channel before using a set top antenna. In fact, I use a set top to get mine. I also get other peoples "On Demand" movies on my cable. There are digital channels in the cable that I pick up when I auto scan. Cool. But the locals won't come through the raw cable.
