DVD Player to AV Receiver to TV Question

I am in the process of getting TIVO and doing some reconfiguring of my system. My biggest issue is that my TV only has one S-Video and 2 sets of composite inputs. It has no component inputs.

I am going to connect the TIVO DBS receiver to the TC using the S Video. So how do I connect the DVD Player? One option is to connect the DVD to the AV receiver using component. The AV receiver would then be connected to the TV using a composite video cable. Is this a waste since I lose the advantage of the component cables from the DVD to the AV receiver? In other words, it's no better than connecting the DVD directly to the TV using composite cables? I am using digital coax from the DVD player to the AV receiver, so at least the sound will be good.

Also, I'm going to connect the audio on the TIVO Receiver to the AV receiver using digital optical. So the TV will have no audio being input. All audio will be through the AV receiver.

Thanks for any input.
