I just moved in to a house that had speakers already setup. The tv is in the corner of the room. They had 2 speakers about 6 ft high on the wall, a center speaker in the ceiling, and two rear surrounds in the ceiling. They also had 2 passive subs in the wall in the front just above the floor. I have a powered sub that I want to use for better sound. When hooking up to my receiver, what do I call the passive sub speakers or hook them up to. I need to know if I should just not hook them up and go with a 5.1 setup or if I can us them with a 7.1 setup. Thanks for the adivice. By the way, I am new to home theater setups. I had to get a new a tv and receiver.

Don't use them but if you have to
[impedance issue]
connect them from reciever first [subs]
front left and right
then to the mains front inwalls..set front speakers to large.
but post this query in the subwoofer section of this forum for
mr.
