Hello everyone,

# First decide the budget and how much you want to spend on a home theater. A good quality system can range from $200 to thousands of dollars.

# You must be careful in selecting the different components that can create the finest home theater system.

# The next important factor is purchase high featured devices that frame the greatest home theater system.

# TV is the first and primary device that you should hunt for. In recent days the most effective choices to buy home theater TV are LCD TV, flat panel or plasma TVs. Among these, plasma TVs are the best choice, because they are made for a large home theater set up.

# The next most important device that is needed to watch digital movies is DVD player. With the more advanced technology you may find high quality DVD players with 6.1 Dolby digital surround.

# If you want to be amused by the television and other broadcasting channels that relay in digital format, attach a digital receiver to your home theater system that will decode these. You can easily connect these audio/video receivers to the DVD players.

# The last and most important factor while considering a home theater system is speakers. Usually for a home theater, sound system comes in 5 pieces -- 2 front speakers, 2 rear speakers and one center channel speaker.

# Positioning of the speakers is also an important factor to consider. Proper positioning gives you an absolute movie presentation and also it will aid in attaining the perfect circulation of the sound.

# As the sound system is most important factor for every home theater system, an utmost care is necessary while selecting. It is suggestible to purchase high quality cables.

I wish they were numbered so I'll use numbers
1. How much to spend, $ 200 will not buy much.
2. OK some component can sound better matched up with the right equipment.
3. Not sure what that means, but more features doesn't mean better.
4. The TV will be the focal point but I don't agree that it is the thing to hunt for immediately as TVs are rapidly improving. I like Plasmas
5. DVD is out Blu-ray is in.
6. If you want to be amused by the TV you better hook up the cable box with a digital connection to the receiver.
7. Speaker system have 6 pieces Fronts, Center, Rears, and the SUBWOOFER
8. I agree
9. High quality cables? Are the cables I buy from Monoprice or Blue Jean cable inferior to a brand name or do I just look for the right guage?
