I purchased a HT Z320 surround sound and have cable box. All that was supplied was yellow cable and I do not see cable connections on the back of the surround sound like my old DVD player. I want to be able to use for TV not just DVD's - My question is how do I connect to cable box and can it work just for TV?
It looks like your samsung does allow 1 Optical audio in. Assuming your cable box has an Optical out you can hook it up to your Samsung. You can not send video through your Samsung though so you when you change from Cable to DVD you will have to change inputs on both your Samsung and your TV. Assuming your cable box does have an optical audio out on it...you can get an Optical cable (sometimes called TOSLINK) and connect it to your Samsung box.
