I have a Yamaha HTR-5560 receiver, and I bought component cables to hook my receiver to my monitor. I screwed my cable line into the RF on back of the receiver and ran the component cable from "Component Monitor Out" (on the receiver) to my DVD input on my tv, which is the only component input I have. I get no picture on my tv at all, can anybody help??? Thanks a million...

I don't think you can switch a RF signal to component, just by using the receiver. You have to have 'like' connections on both (input and output) ends.
If your cable signal was coming out of the digital cabe box, using the component out, then you can connect that to the receiver(IN) and the component out of the receiver to the component IN on the TV.

Thanks for you input I think I was just stupid. I thought the antenna jack was a cable jack, but obviously I was wrong! Thanks a lot !!!
