I myself like B & w (Bowers and Wilkins) They are able to provide speakers that produce high fidelity sound. It would really be up to personal preference on what type of sound you are after. You really should go to places that have different speakers set up and listen to them and then get the company to bring them out to your place to set them up so that you can hear them in your environment to make sure that they sound just as good in your home. I get What Hi Fi, which is a pommy magazine every month and they review and grade speakers all the time. Getting something like that might also help in narrowing down what you are after.
