I am planning to finish my basement and install a home theater system with DLP porjection. So far, I have researched and looked at Denon, NAD, Rotel and Integra processors - both as separates and integrated systems. I am looking for factual comparison of the products. All are 7.1 with at least 125W per channel. TOday I tlaked with a guy whose background is commercial av AND HE RECOMMENDED an Integra without a separate amp driving JMLabs Focal Cobalt Speakers. In this post I'm lookign for feedback on the surround sound processors.

What kind of "facts" are you looking for?

I have compared NAD, Denon, Rotel and Outlaw. I ended up keeping NAD and Outlaw gear. But the choice was made because of the performance and the sound. Both was made using subjective judgement as objective evaluation was not available due to lack of measuring tools and such.

I don't know if you can really use objective data published by the manufacturer when making a choice on equipment as it is not indicative of the way it will sound.

If there is a way for you to listen to the equipment, I suggest doing so.
