When setting up my Sony surrond sound speakers.....does the grey wire with the black line running through it goes to the postive or the negitive...I am guessing the postive....and if wrong how do you notice a difference....
Hi Erin, If it's one of those SONY Dream systems then take a look at the back where you connect the SONY connectors into the unit and note which wire has the + and which one has the -. The one with the + is the positive. Connect that to the corresponding terminal on the back of the speaker. If it's a standard AV reciever then use the wire with the black line through it as the positive. To test your setup grab a DVD that has that THX setup utility within the audio setup area and run through that utility.
