I recently purchased an Onkyo HT-S780 Home Theater System. I got everything hooked up and it all works well except the DVD player. The audio will come through but I still just see the TV pic while it is playing. Even when I hit the DVD button no pic. The only way I get a pic is hooking up directly to the TV. Not really what I want to do. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need to hook the DVD player up to the Component IN on your 780 receiver and then hook your Component output to your TV. Go into the receiver setup and assign the component input to your DVD and you should have a great picture. Make sure to turn on progressive scan on your DVD player if your TV will accept a progressive signal.
