Onkyo 770 HTIB- Static when I switch to DVD

I was hoping someone out there could help...

When I switch my Onkyo to "DVD" I get this staticky hum for about 2-3 seconds (seemingly from the right front speaker). After the 2-3 seconds it stops and everything sounds good. It's a sony 6 disc set up with digital coax to the Onkyo

Any ideas what this could be?
