While I was doing research on this system on the web I came across a thread where a person reccomended calling Peter Green at 1-800-888-5343 ext 701. The poster indicated that several people had purchased the system, one for $434 including delivery. I called, and it turns out this is SoundCity (Web site SoundCity.com). I explained to Peter what I had read on the web and he indicated that at one point they had advertised the system at that price and that a lot of people who saw the ad or heard about it on the web were STILL calling. BELIVE IT OR NOT, HE HONORED THE PRICE!! Even though it is advertised on their site for $499. I don't know how much longer he will do this, or even if he will do it for you, but if you want this system, $434 at your door just can't be beat.
I just received my HT-s650 system from Sound city yesterday. I saved $100 off the local price because of no tax and free shipping. And I didn't have to carry that big box. What a deal.
