have had the lotr 1st movie, extended version, for awhile and decided to watch it last night. when i selected the dts 6.1, i did not get any sound. i had to watch it in dolby 5.1(?). i have a jvc receiver which is 770w 7.1 capable. i have played dts before without trouble, including gladiator. any ideas? thanks
try re-checking your dvd player to put out DTS signals. Check also your receiver and see if it is on automatic detection. It should say DTS, everytime you select DTS on the DVD options. cheers
checked the dvd player, then noticed the receiver was set to dvd multi instead of dvd, pushed dvd and the dts 6.1 played perfectly. i feel like an idiot. thanks for the help.
