Connecting HDTV w/ PIP Surround sound in box VCR Dig Cable

Im trying to figure out how to connect a SONY HDTV with PIP, Time Warner Digital Cable, VCR, and SONY all in one DVD/surround sound system. I'm having trouble figuring out how to connect all this to allow PIP features with digital cable. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
