hey does anyone know if a laptop (dell) can hook up to a amplifier or PA system, or some other set up of using the laptop for DJing? if so how do I go about doing that. Will it sound good and/or should i run it through a program (software) to make it sound good (which one). Any help would be great thanks
It's not the software it's the hardware. Depends on which Dell laptop you have. The new ones have DVI connectors which if your amplifier can handle will give you great sound. Otherwise some of the laptops have mini line-out jacks in the back which you can hook up to a splitter with RCA at the other end and connect to your amp. It won't sound good, but if all you want is to party, it should be alright.
