Ok I just purchased a new system. Here's basically what I have to work with.
Onkyo 603X Directv DVR Sony DVD Player Sony PS2 Infinity surround speakers Sony Vega circa 1999
I have digital opticals from the DVD player, Directv, and Ps2 into the optical inputs on back of the reciever. Component videos from the DVD player and PS2 going to the component video inputs 1 and 3. The sat box has an S-video and normal RCA jacks going to video input 3. Then I have a component video running to the back of the TV from the reciever. I believe I have everything in the right place, but my question is how do assign the optical digital to the proper component video? Any help or reconfigure suggestions would help.
