Good morning folks. I need a center channel for DVD playback, just to hear the dialogs. I am listening right now to stereo (Denon AVR-3802 and Monitor Audio Silver S6s) for DVDs. Someday I will be affording more full surround sound - maybe soon.

In the meantime, does anyone agree that a Monitor Audio Bronze lcr speaker would fit? I can get one for very cheap right now. I can also get Bronze S1s or S2s (more good deals) for the back channels of a 5.0 setup.

Please provide your opinion of using a MA Bronze lcr instead of a sonically matched Silver lcr. Thanks for your input- bk

Get the Silver center, since MA introduced the RS series you ca find a SLCR for a very reasonable price. Look online or any shop in your area that sells MA.

A Froogle search finds the SLCR at $485 (plus shipping). The local Good Guys going out of biz liquidation has the Bronze center for $175 and the B1s for $240 or the B2s for $320 - so I could potentially get center and back covered for less than a Silver center...

Still think the SLCR? thanks in advance- bk
