I have a reciever with a subwoofer output and i was wondering could i buy a seperater amp to power a car subwoofer for more bass?

Why don't you just get a powered subwoofer from HSU? Don't go the ghetto way just do it right, unless you have thing for car subs converted for home use.

well i already have a car sub in a box and i just wanted loud bass for real cheap. Can you give me a link to a powered sub or a amp for cheap?

I'd agree with Berny...I think it would be difficult to convert a DC amp to AC with that much current.
