Okay, I've been browsing the internet for about 4-5hr now straight on this(no joke) and i'm getting really tired. Sometimes there tooo much information out there. Okay, so heres my deal, I have a computer with a GeForce 5900fx video card, it has DVI(not sure if its -I or -D), VGA, and S-video. I'm trying to connect my pc to a Mitsubishi 65" HDTV that does not have DVI input or VGA input, but does have component. So, here are my questions.
1.) Can I use a basic VGA breakout cable and connect that to my TV and will that work?
2.) I found a DVI to Component cable, will that work?
3.) Do I absolutley have to buy one of those expensive VGA to component transeceor things that cost like a bazillion dollars. :-D
4.) If none of the above will work, how do I do it then?
Lets keep this plan, simple, and cut throat.
