HDTV Receiver and TIVO question

I see where I can get all this from Directv. Question is...can you actually buy a Directv satellite receiver with DVR/TIVO capability without going directly through Directv? I know it's a stupid question but...anybody have any recommendations or URL's I can check out? GA

Am I able to have an existing digital coax connection along with a digital optical cable in my receiver and Direct TV HD Tuner with a digital Optical connection at the same time to have an increase working sound.
