I have the Onkyo HT S650 & it sounds wonderful! !! I have a question about selecting the best sound mode on the Extended Version of LOTR - this dvd offers DTS 6.1 or Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround. Since the Onkyo system is only 5.1--will I be missing something by selecting the 6.1 DTS mode on the DVD?? Also, exactly how does DTS differ from Dolby Surround 5.1??

Yes, you will be missing an entire channel and it won't sound as good as the Dolby Digital if you only have a 5.1 system.
Dolby Digital uses a lossless compression technology where as DTS does not. On my system the DTS format seems to sound a little better.
