New member Username: KwitelPost Number: 1 Registered: Mar-05 | Hey all, So, im looking for an HTIB (w/dvd) and am overwhelmed by whats available. Im looking to spend about $400, and need the unit for a relatively small living room space (20 x 25 ft). Aesthetics are important, as im designing the room for a friend with quite a bit of metallic components in the room. Obviously, quality audio and video are a must as well. Ive heard some nice things about the Panasonic sc-ht900 (i hear the newer 920 model is not as good??) Can anyone comment on this model, or give some suggestions as to what else I should be considering? Is 6.1 a consideration for me? Most of the units ive been looking at seem to be 5.1... Go give this a listen: Onkyo HTS570 (or the newer 580) - $300 add any dvd player, and you're still well under 400 bucks. the onkyo sounds better than any other system at that price and it will probably look good with metallic components. |
