I have an Adelphia Digital Cable box and have it connected to my TV but I'm only getting the sound in mono no matter what channel I have on. My TV setting is on Stereo so I don't really know what else to do. I called Adelphia and they didn't know what the problem is. Does anyone know how to get the box to output stereo sound?
You might want to call your cable provider back and ask for someone who knows what the hell they're talking about. since you have cable and they did the install, I would make them do a service call if you're having problems with your sound.
With cable, it's their responsibility to hook it up, and make sure things are working properly, not yours.
