hi...new to all this....but is there a chance of connecting my dvd/cd stereo with surround sound speakers to my tv?
the stereo(goodmans 1990)is connected to tv with a scart lead(to play the dvds) and this is the only way out of tv?
any help would be great

Actually, it's the other way around. You need to connect your tv sound to your receiver, but I know what you meant.

There are two ways of doing this.

1.connect your audio/out from the back of your TV into your receiver input.

or

2.connect your cablebox audio/out into your receiver input.

One or the other will have to have audio outputs, or your're out of luck.
