The different surround modes are pretty confusing to me. I have been to dolby's website and DTS's. I have heard that using pro logic IIx (movie mode) is the best mode to use no matter even if you can use DTS-ES. Is this true? My receiver will have both options available (Onkyo 502).
Also, for audio, I have heard that pro logic IIx (music mode) is the best for CD audio. But there is also DTS 94/24 (or something like that).
I want to make things as simple as possible... and would like to know what other 6.1 users set their recievers for movies and audio.
