I've got a Yamaha amp, and want to buy a new 6.1 speaker set. My room is small (less than 300 sq feet). I use it for movies, music and I also hook up a Roland RD 7000 stage piano to it.

I don't want to spend more than $1500 on the whole speaker set, and would prefer to spend under $1000.

I've seen nice reviews on the following.

Aperion
Athena
Polk

What are your suggestions?

I like the Aperion and Athena better than Polk. You might also consider axiom m3ti - they got raving reviews - since they sell direct, they can offer you more quality for the buck.
