Glad I found this forum! I'm buying a 42" HDTV Friday and need a new speaker system for no more than $750. The room is carpeted and moderately furnished, with no unusual acoustics (other than two Keeshond dogs that seem to absorb a lot of treble). So I've been told Energy Act 6 speakers or perhaps an Infinity TSS750 system would do. I do like a lot of deep bass without sacrificing crisp highs. What would you recommend?
A Sony I bought last year. I don't have it in front of me so I don't know the model, but I probably paid $250 or so for it. It has buttons for different "theatre" settings. It probably has 100 watts.
