6 RCA Inputs on Subwoofer

Hello, To start off I was conned into buying this speaker system, but thats besides the point. I have a Home Theater system that has all inputs and outputs on Subwoofer. The inputs are RCA L/R/Center/SW/RL/RR. The outputs are +/-. I understand what all this means, however it seems that even though the box says Dolby Digital and Surround sound, that it really is not. Do I need a reciever for this equipment to split the R/L audio from a source to these 6 individual inputs. Or is there a way to get this system set up without to much more investment. Like I said, I was pressured and conned into buying this system, so if there is a inexpensive way to setup this system for surround sound it would be much appreciated. Relinko@hotmail.com

Are the inputs just for pre-amps signals? Is the system amplifier builtin the subwoofer? Are we talking about a Bose system?

Sorry for the long time of no response.
Yes it has a built-in amplifier, I would like to know if there are any recievers that arn't amplified, and that have 6 RCA outputs.
