I am shopping for a subwoofer to compliment my two DMC 16S speakers:

and my Sony STR-485(Sorry, don't have a link for that, it's not being made anymore, not even a year later).

I'm looking for a subwoofer that I can use to play games, watch DVD's, and listen to MP3's. My price range is $100-$200. I'm totally new to subwoofers, so any suggestions and help is welcome.

P.S. To James Lee, thanks for your help on the speakers. I found the receipt, and it's getting fixed.

I like this Sony sub but it's unlike any other sub in that it's boomy - might be too much so for music, but I love it.

According to the pros in Hifi magazines, if you hear the sub as aseparate entity, then it's too loud - it should just add wramth to the sound.

Used this way, this sub is good for less than $100. It sounds a little harsh if pushed hard on high levels.

If you want to do better for more :

I am geting a sony (that might be enough) - although it's affordable, it sounds like no other sub I heard - nice ring to the sound.

Glad it worked out for the DCMs - they will sound even better with a sub.
