New member Username: JonasPost Number: 5 Registered: Jul-04 | I have been enjoying my marantz sr5300 for a month now but was surprised last night when it shutdown by itself 7-8 times while watching black hawk down. It is the first time i had trouble with my receiver as this never happened in the previous dvd titles i watched. Each time it shut down last night, I just turned the receiver on again. What do you think is the root problem? Is it the dvd or is something wrong with the receiver? |

New member Username: Jprry00BLOOMINGTON, INDIANA USA Post Number: 1 Registered: May-04 | i had the same problem with my kenwood reciever...only shut down during dvds...i noticed it more during "loud" sequences...mine went nuts trying to play "kill bill vol.2" all the way through so i just picked up a new reciever today...yamaha 5660...awesome...LOVE IT! |

Gold Member Username: KeggerMICHIGAN Post Number: 1252 Registered: Dec-03 | generally when something shuts down it's from one of 2 things. overheatng. or working to hard. mostly from low impedance speakers. or just plain something shorting out. speaker wires or something inside the reciever. |
