Amp + 2 heavy duty speakers (for parties) for around 800

I would get onkyo 8511 receiver (amp + radio)

Sony sawm200 sub

Liteon Lvd player (if you need a cd player)

This should be good enough for after party quite listening as well - and plays DVDs so hook it up to your TV (we don't need 5 speakers for movies all the time - this will be pretty good)

Don't think you can get an amp and speakers for $800. But for party speakers check out Cerwin Vega! Can't be beat for the money. May even suprise you ,how good they sound.

If you only want this for parties check out new or used PA equipment. High efficiency speakers and a modest amp running in Class B will play very loud for not much bucks. The efficiency of the speakers is the key to volume.
