I had a NAD T761 receiver and noticed a decrease in volume as the unit aged. The only reason I know this is true is because I got the new T763 receiver to replace the crappy problematic T761 unit and there was definitely a huge volume difference. I'm not talking about just slightly either. Well now I believe the same thing is happening to my T763. I noticed mainly on CD's at first. CD's that I have listened to a thousand times, I noticed that my volume setting is getting higher and higher to get the same punch that I'm use to. Then I started noticing it on my TV and movie volumes. Am I going totally crazy or has anyone else noticed such a phenomenon?
