Hey folks,
Just seeking some friendly (and of course, wise) advice regarding receivers. I am currently looking at the NAD 742 vs. the Marantz SR6300. Listened to both with Acoustic Energy speakers, and was very impressed. However, I am in the beginnings of researching these brands and would appreciate some empirical and hands-on recommendations/advice. Thanks.

I like NAD better.

If you don't mind used, these are even better.

If youre more on movies than music or just say, 50/50, dont get Nad. NAD will not thrill you as what Yamaha would do.

I like both. However keep in mind the T742 is NAD's entry level A/V receiver with limited features.

I would pick T752 over SR6300 over T742, in that order.
