I've got a denon receiver that uses the tape out to feed an separate amplifier for an outdoor audio zone. The receiver is connected to a cd player and a cable box. When listening to the cd or the receiver's tuner, it sounds pretty good. However, when using the music from the cable box (scientific atlanta 4200HD - set on variable audio output and max'd) the audio is very low. Has anyone had any luck with a line level amplifier. If so, what did you use and how were the results? Thanks in advance for all your knowledge and expertise!
