I purchased the Elite 53 receiver and was looking for some speakers to set up a 5.1 system. My local sound shop has a pair of Pinnacle BD1000 for sale, last ones, for 599. He is pushing Energy speakers left and right, but I am not very familiar with them. Until now I was going to go with Axiom or Polk, but the Pinnacle sounded great and are a good price...for the standing fronts - the rest is still up in the air. Any help?
I personally haven't heard much about the Pinnacle BD1000 and for my taste (3) 5 1/4 drivers on a very skiny speaker doesn't sound like much "could be wrong"

I was considering their "theatre package" for 2k, but then realized that I did not want their sub -- was going to get the HSU? one... Anyhow, I got the Pinnacles because I compared them to the energy veritage, B&W's, and some others and liked them the best. They just happened to have my receiver to use them all on! So, I figured for the price I am happy, and I bought a veritage v2.0ci center for a great deal as well. I am not certain which rears I am going to get, but the axioms are still a great contender.
