Any suggestion about buying the refurbished one from Onkyousa.com for $459? No Shipping, No tax!!! I think I will go for the 2 year extended warranty for $50. They have the Onkyo DV-SP301 Progressive Scan DVD FREE with this.
Would appreciate any feed back or prev expereinces about this. Thanks

Doesn't Onkyo give you the original warranty with the refurb of at least a year? Most companies do. As far as solid state components are concerned, if they are working the first month you have them, they are likely to last a long time--unless you spill liquid on them or drop them. And most warranties don't cover that kind of abuse.
If you have a year warranty with the purchase I wouldn't bother with extra warranties. Mostly a money maker for the seller.
Onkyo S660 was on sale for $297...normally it sells for $399. I think I will go for the S760 ??
Anybody with experiences with a refurbished system?

I got the HTR510 receiver which is the one from the S760 HTIB setup. It is a great receiver. Got the Onkyo refurb from eCost.com and it was in perfect condition and sounds fantastic.
