Should I get rid of the old hpm100's

I'am debating wheter or not to get rid of my 27 year old pioneer hpm100's, and go to the paradigm monitor 9's for the main speakers in my 6.1 surround sound setup. Do you think that this is a wise decision seeing the hpm100 is still a great speaker, and probabley throws off more sound than the monitor 9.

I used to have a pair of HPM-40's , great speaker, some time ago (somewhere in the early 90's) I still own them, however they have moved out of my HT setup, and to my downstairs setup with a Kenwood amp I wasted my money on. I would say, if you got the $ go for the Monitor-9's. Paradigm is a great speaker. What receiver/or seperates are you using?

I have a Yamaha rxv1300 reciever, and everything besides the hmp's are paradigm. CC-370 center, CC-170 rear center, titan surrounds, and ps-1000 sub.

For a Yamaha, get the Paradigms, assuming you got the go ahead from the wife :) and you got the cash. Also, on the plus side, you would have a timbre matched system.
