Aux cable into tv

I recently bought a tv, but the in built speakers aren't great.

I have good speakers, but their output is through a single aux cable (same as say a pair of headphones).

The TV has two (left and right) output plugs, how can I connect the speakers to the tv? Is there a cable which can act as an adapter to change the aux cable into a double headed cable for the tv?

Thanks

.

I assume the two outputs on the TV are RCA's. You'll need to run an interconnect cable to an external amp which will power separate speakers.

my tv has 2 rca outputs (red/white) and the iLive sound bar has 2 rca input ports, but even with a direct cabling from the tv to the sound bar, i get no sound output from the bar. the cables have been tested and are good. what settings should i have on the tv (an rca tv/dvd combo) that will allow the sound to come thru the sound bar??

the rca tv model is LED32B30RQD.

thanks for your help!
