Hi-fi problem

COLIN New member Username: Kork66 Post Number: 1 Registered: May-12	Posted on Monday, May 28, 2012 - 15:29 GMT hi can anyone help me, ive got a sony str-db1080 tuner/amp which ive had for years & never had ant trouble with it until 2 weeks ago when it started making a cracking noise, now it is very distorted & you cannot listen to it at all. my speakers are aegis evo3s & i run a md cd pc through the system. plz help

Do you have the skills and tools available to manage the repair yourself? If not, the best answer is to have the receiver looked at by a qualified tech. .

If the receiver does the same thing on all inputs, see post above.
