I had my old receiver hooked to my old speakers for years and I was happy camper. I moved to new house, the old owner left behind tons of stuff behind and I have no clue how to hook it up

here is my old receiver http://i56.tinypic.com/2qwms7q.jpg

the old owner left behind

2 FRONT SPEAKERS
2 REAR SPEAKERS
1 well looks like middle speaker (small a bit flat and really heavy)
1 SUBWOOFER http://i51.tinypic.com/2wd5461.jpg

any clue how to make these work? All I really care is music

thanks a lot

Get speaker cable...hook up positive from the receiver to positive on the speaker and the same for negative to negative....I don't mean to sound condescending. I'm not sure what you mean exactly....

The line input on the sub gets hooked up to the "pre-out" on the receiver.

Welcome to eCoustics Jimmy!

Those speaker look like a Home theater kit!

OK!
Hook the front and rear speaker in the Speaker output to the right in your picture then hook the Sub with a double RCA cable in the preamp out of the receiver to the RCA input of the sub!

This one look like a center speaker, if you has 2 input on this speaker , you can hook it on the rear speaker, if only one is available I do not recommend to use this one!

Be sure that you use the good polarity +>red, ->black for all speakers!

Good luck!
