Do you have a cable or satellite box ?

Do you have an a/v receiver or integrated amplifier ?

How are your speakers hooked up today ?

I have cable ..and no I do not have a/v receiver or integrated amp.

My speakers are hooked up to a sony stero system. The jack is pluged into the audio aux on my stereo system.

You have cable, but do you have digital cable (ie a digital cable box, DCT, settop box, DVR/PVR, etc) ? If so, you could connect the audio out from the cable box to the inputs of the Sony. If an aux jack is all you have to plug into you may need an adapter to make the connection. Most current cable boxes have optical outputs as well, you might not have a way to make that work with the Sony.

If you do not have digital cable, you'll have to use the audio out jacks available on the TV. Usually there are either two rca jacks (left and right), or a mini jack. Mine has the mini jack. You would just need a cable with a stereo mini male jack on each end like this one.....

Hi Chris,

This suggestion worked great. I used my DVR to hook up my Sony speakers. So I am on the air...yay!!!! ( see below)
If so, you could connect the audio out from the cable box to the inputs of the Sony.
Thanks again for your help take care
