my question is, i have this power amp which uses 4amp spkrss
how can i add some kind of electron part or device which then allows me to use my 8 ohms speakers. if i connect 8ohms speakers directly to the 4 ohm amp. can i screw up the amp? tks. m

.

Amplifiers are not "four Ohm" or "eight Ohm". If there is a transformer coupling the outputs to the speakers and you have a choice of taps (2, 4, 8 Ohm taps) for various impedance loads, then you need to match the load to the appropriate tap off the transformer. If all that exists is a set of speaker outputs and no transformer coupling - a direct coupled amplifier - then you should be able to run eight Ohm speakers from the amplifier. Keep in mind that only one set of speakers will represent an eight ohm load and, if you start to connect more than one set of speakers, the load on the amplifier changes.
