I am looking to purchase a high end reciever..such as a Denon 4810/Onkyo TX-NR3007 or a Yamaha RZ-7 in a dual voltage format. The reason being, I plan to use it in Asia later on.

I find that none of the manufactures make them this way. Does anyone know where I can find a dual voltage reciever. Appreciate any lead....

.

Nowdays you'll probably have to call the manufactutrer to verify the transformer status. Grey markets killed dual voltage designs.

When is 'later on'?
When it needs service (and it will), where do you send it?
If you are staying here for beyond the warranty period then you take your chances.

Why anyone would consider shipping lightweigt electronics across the pond is beyond me. The thing is as likely to be DOA as perfect.

Before we discuss original shipping from China to here in containers, imagine the guy on the dock tossing the box around from a moving company. And the moving van with the box tossed in last.
And the trip up the stairs.

Asia sells hi-fi and AV stuff too.

Buy a used receiver if you might stick around for 2 years or less, and make do with that.
