I've been reading \about FLAC - Free Lossless Audio Codec - and I'm wondering about players that might use this file type. It sounds like a much better alternative to MP3 and such. Any suggestions?? Any chance that FLAC might become a standard file format??

A little late, but....
FLAC is already a standard.
When I had a PC, I searched and finally began using WINAMP.

A google will show you which portable players support FLAC. They are out there and at regular prices......no gouge for FLAC support!

Since I went MAC I switched to ALAC,
