Speaker suggestions for workshop

Hi there, I'm upgrading my artist studio/workspace and I've been checking around for some good sounding used bookshelves. I've seen some good remarks made about the easily had Klipsch KG1's and older ADS and so forth, but I'm just not sure. Just thought I'd grab something on ebay or craigslist and get on with, but now I'm a bit caught up on cross referencing my ebay finds with online reviews and now hitting walls in a spiraling trajectory. Ever hear the phrase "like a dog with a bone"? That would be me.

Anyone know anything about B&W DM550's or JBL G200's

I'm looking for speakers that average less than $100 so it won't freak me out when I splatter paint on the cabs or grill cloth. Of course they have to sound good too.

If I can get it repaired for a decent price, I will be pairing this with an HK Chorale.

Thanks!
John

Cambridge Soundworks Model 6 would probably be a good fit.
