Posted on Friday, November 20, 2009 - 16:24 GMT I like the Sonos gear. Its well designed and pretty practical. Its got a little bit of a learning curve to it, but not too bad. I think that latest product is to combat Logitech's Squeezebox Boombox. If done right with lossless files, quality outboard DACs and the rest of the system, the results can be very good. My Naim/Linn/Rega dealer has been trying out a few different streamers to see what they want to carry. I've been running an Apple TV for a few months now. It does pretty much everything the others do, and adds a hard drive. No wireless dropouts. It can be controlled by an iPhone/iPod Touch. It also streams internet radio. The only thing I wish it had that the others do is the capability to stream services like Pandora and Sirius. I have neither but would consider them if I could run them. |
