Long thin speaker behind trim

I am trying to place speakers in my family room for music.
No problem with a subwoofer on the floor. However my wife is absolutely against in wall speakers or speakers on the walls.

The room has a vaulted ceiling and trim (large cove, see pic) that projects around the room at 10 feet. One side of the cove is against the wall and the other point up towards the ceiling. See picture, trim is above lights. There is about 2"wx3"dx60'L of space behind the trim . I would like to try to put some speakers behind the trim pointing towards the ceiling. Is this crazy ? Obviously I could have many of them line up linearly but the WxD size is pretty limited ~ 2"x3".
Any ideas ? I am happy to string drivers together or any idea that may work. I am not looking for great sound quality.

Thanks for any ideas.

I don't know your budget or what you're using to power them.
Because tof the layout of your pics, the ad banner covers a lot of your post.

For a very discreet and excellent sounding speaker, look into the PMC Wafer, or some in wall or in ceiling speakers.
